squatjump

So when I workout at the beach I always start out with a short sprint to get my blood flowing, but if you aren’t keen on running you can also jump rope or do some jumping jacks. Listed below is the rest of my summer beach workout!

  • 2 sets of 20 lunge pulses, each side
  • squat jumps for 30 seconds
  • 20 sumo squats
  • 20 side lunge squats
  • 10 standing leg lifts from the front, side, and the back, each leg
  • 2 sets of 20 toe touches
  • 2 sets of 15 hip raises
  • 2 sets of 10 superman
  • 1-minute plank
  • 1-minute side plank, each side
  • 20-30 pushups (depending on how tired I am, haha)

beach yoga

After I like to cool down my workout with some yoga, mainly consisting of handstand variations and stretching, lots and lots of stretching. And remember you are at the beach, so go cool off in the ocean!!

BikiniBodyBurn

Just like my workout, you too can create a killer beach workout that fits your needs and goals. However, if you want to opt for a fitness guide that are specifically structured to give you the results you may be looking for, there are some really good ones out there. One fitness guide we want to talk about is the Bikini, Body, Burn guide created by Moana Bikini owner Karina Irby and fitness trainer Simon McDowell. The goal of this fitness guide is to create a body full of lean muscles while staying nourished through a well-balanced nutrition plan. The main BBB bundle is a 12-week guide that includes fitness and nutrition sections.

bikinibodyguide

Another popular fitness guide is the Bikini, Body, Guide created by Kayla Itsines. The BBG guide has a huge following and a great community. Itsines program is also a 12-week guide, that includes fitness and nutrition plans. There is also a BBG app that you can download! This fitness guide is created to help people maintain a consistent and healthy lifestyle, by againing lean muscle and a toner physique.

pushup

Whether you want to create your own summer beach workout or follow a fitness guide, working out at the beach should be enjoyable all the time! Honestly, what more could you wish for, you have the sun shing and the waves crashing to make into your fitness playground. We are so ready for a workout now and we hope you are too! Giselle Singletary

I am a 23 year female originally from Boston, Massachusetts and currently reside in Wilmington, North Carolina. I have lived in North Carolina for about 13 years. I moved to Wilmington to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Theatre. I have many interests, because I like to dabble in a little bit of anything. However my favorite this to do is travel - especially to tropical countries! I love the feeling of being somewhere new and the enjoyment of going to interesting shops or tasting mouthwatering food. I go to the beach almost everyday. I have a deep love of the ocean and beach activities. I like how time seems to slow down and everyone seems happier at the beach or in the ocean. Some of my other enjoyments include any form of art. My three favorite mediums are fashion, music, and painting/drawing. I am always striving to get better or learn something new. People would describe me as always smiling and ready for the next adventure! I am a person with a lot of passion and drive, but tend to stay very mellow.
