Rainy Days

“Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain.” Stuck inside all day during a rainy day? Look no further for relaxing and fun ideas to do by yourself or with friends!

Rainy day

Netflix and Chill! What better way to relax on a rainy day then to binge watch your favorite TV show or to start a new one! Grab your computer and curl up in your bed or cozy up on the couch and press play! Invite friends over to join in on the fun! Have some movies in mind instead? Start a movie marathon! May we suggest Harry Potter? Have a friend bring over the popcorn and another bring over the chips! Order a pizza and enjoy your lazy day in with the girls or yourself!

Invite your friends over and create your own fondue with warm chocolate, honey graham crackers, and soft marshmallows. This tasty snack is the perfect rainy day treat to share with your friends and catch up! Don’t like this combo? Create your own! Cheese goes great with well, everything! Use this recipe to make a cheese fondue! You will need: 1 cup white wine, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon all purpose flour, 7 ounces of Gruyere cheese (cubed), 7 ounces of sharp Cheddar cheese (cubed), and 7 ounces of Emmentaler cheese (cubed). In a small pot or saucepan, bring 1 cup of white wine to a boil. Next, add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of flour to a separate saucepan. Whisk together the flour and butter, then constantly stir for 5 minutes to prevent sticking! Now, add the wine to the flour and butter mixture. Whisk so the mixture is smooth and begin to add your cheese! Stir until cheese is melted! Dip pretzels, fruit, chocolate, meat, and/or bread!

What better way to spend a day inside than pampering yourself with a spa day! Break out that bubble bath, sugar scrub, and glass of wine. Light some candles to relax your senses, and put on some soothing music. After the bubble bath, wrap yourself in a fluffy robe and apply your favorite face mask, clay or peel. Wash off and smooth on your favorite lotion or cream from head to toe! Your skin will thank you for the extra hydration! Pick out nail polish for your hands and toes. Paint and let them dry … for a while. We all hate that one little smudge we get from the blanket!

Been thinking of changing your room around for a while now? What better day than a rainy day? Move around the furniture to give the room a new feeling! Add some string lights behind your bed, above windows, or to the mantle to light up your room! Print out updated photos of you and your girlfriends to add to your wall.

Rainy Day

Invite your girls over for a wine night, because “wine not?” Catch up on what’s going on in everyone’s lives, who is dating who, who is the cute boy, where everyone went for summer, and where everyone is going for Thanksgiving break! Take this time to enjoy the smell of the rain, the feel of the moment, and the sound of laughter amongst friends. These moments are priceless and are a perfect way to spend a rainy day!

Rainy Day

Read a book … or finish the one you’ve started multiple times because you haven’t found the time to read it! Use this rainy day to catch up on fun activities. Not sure what to read? Look up Good Reads to see what’s trending now! You can also visit Amazon to see all the latest releases! Not into books? Read a magazine or newspaper if that’s what you are into!

LA, Miami, New York, Chicago? Where to next is all you and your friends can think about! Plan a trip together so when it’s time to book you have it all planned out. Nothing like getting the itinerary ready early. Scope out the places to eat, see, and sleep! Check to see what events may be going on in that location during certain months or weekends. Your trip may come sooner than you think!
