It’s that time of the year again. We’re all counting our vacation days, rounding up our favourite people and planning where to go to forget about work for 5 minutes. Yes. It’s summertime. Summer always brings with it the promise of fun and days that turn into nights. Maybe it’s been hardwired in our brains from our school days but come May 1st, everyone has holiday on their mind. We’ve rounded up a list of 3 places that are slightly off the beaten path, cities and countries that you may not have thought of exploring yet. Take a look below!

Belgrade, Serbia

When you think of Serbia, you think of the Yugoslav Wars. Unless you’re from Belgrade, you’d be surprised to hear of the steady increase in hip bars and restaurants that now fill the city’s graffiti-covered neighbourhoods. And of its growing craft-beer scene. Heard enough? Wait. There’s more. The city has a vibrant and diverse year-round party scene, one where there is something for everyone. Jazz, techno, Gypsy folk. The best part, though, is that in the summer the parties move to the water. Partying on a boat is definitely something I want to check off my bucket list!

Belgrade

Hampi, India

This small town in the southern part of India is home to the Virupaksha temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A trip to Hampi would be ideal for you if you’re looking to soak in some culture, heritage and quiet. You can walk amongst the ruins of a 14th century settlement with its remarkable temples and monuments, all strewn across a breathtaking landscape of giant boulders and banana groves. Rock climbing is another major attraction for travellers. Find a spot amongst the boulders and watch the sun go down. It’s something you’ll never forget.

Hampi

Paros, Greece

Paros is a little known island somewhere between the two most popular Greek destinations, Mykonos and Santorini. It has all of the same things that travellers go to them for – whitewashed villages, blue-domed churches and blonde-sand beaches, fishing harbours overlooked by taverna tables along with many lively bars and cafés. The modern and chic resort towns and charming villages are more enticing for their lack of travellers. But the word is spreading, hurry and visit this delightful island before it becomes the fashionable place to be!

Paros

Whether you’re partying it up on a boat in Belgrade, taking a dip in the pool of a luxurious resort in Hampi or running towards the waves in the Aegean Sea; what you need is a great swimming costume (or maybe two!). Below are our top picks for this summer. Indulge yourself and click on the names to snap up these hot items before they’re sold out!

I'm 21 and on the cusp of becoming of who I am supposed to be. I sometimes feel I am like a lined notebook, with hand drawn lines, some straight as an inch ruler, others utterly disorderly, up, down they go, travelling any which way. Maybe that is why I am practicing design, to chase even the most oblique ideas - bend the rules. I strongly believe that it is important to embrace your idiosyncrasies. I always felt different in school and instead of striving to be the same as my friends, I chose to continue being true to who I was and I think that has made all the difference (to slightly paraphrase Robert Frost).
